Management Tips
BEEF
- Provide fresh clean water at all times
- Provide good quality forage
- Worm and Vaccinate your steer early in the feeding program
- Allow 10-12 hours between feedings
- Make feed ration changes gradually
- Provide free choice salt
- Keep feed fresh in a covered container
- Clean out feed bunks before each feeding
- Exercise your steer regularly
- Feed according to directions of feed tag
LAMBS & GOATS
- Provide fresh clean water at all times
- Provide good quality forage
- Worm your Lamb/Goat early in the feeding program
- Vaccinate for Enterotoxemia
- Hand feed twice daily
- Develop an “Average Daily Gain” objective and weigh regularly
- Feed in pairs or groups if possible
- Make feed ration changes gradually
- Keep feed fresh in a covered container
- Clean out feed bunks before each feeding
- Exercise your Lamb/Goat regularly
- Use Lamb Starter w/Bovatec to aid in the prevention of Coccidiosis
SWINE
- Provide fresh clean water at all times
- Worm your Pig early in the feeding program
- Develop an “Average Daily Gain” objective and weigh regularly
- Hand feed the last 30 days to control weight
- Make feed ration changes gradually
- Clean out feed pan before each feeding
- Exercise your Pig regularly
- Maintain a clean pen
